This 2 hour class features the "HeartSaver CPR AED" content from the American Heart Association. It covers adult CPR and AED use (compressions with breaths) & child CPR and AED use & infant CPR, including child and infant choking. Skills are taught in a fun, dynamic group environment by using the AHA's research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the hands-on CPR practice time using the industry's best manikins. This class is intended for those with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Ideal for nannies, school teachers, therapists, personal trainers, doulas, healthclub employees, etc. Participants receive an AHA booklet to take home. A Heartsaver CPR AED card is issued at the completion of this class. The card is valid for 2 years.

This fun class features the "Family & Friends CPR Course" content from the American Heart Association. It teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant. Skills are taught in a fun, dynamic group environment by using the AHA's research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the hands-on CPR practice time using the industry's best manikins.
This class is especially geared for parents. CPR Instructors have experience working with more than 20,000 new families, and we are skilled in the safety challenges that new parents face.
We also include the other essential safety information specific to new families: SIDS prevention, poison control and car seat safety. Participants receive all of our usual educational take-home products; and, everyone has a chance to win one a raffle gifts, donated by local kid-friendly vendors.

Will you have little ones in tow? Supervised play is available by Pickles staff for an additional fee of $8.00. Supervised play must be arranged prior to class date by email kim at kim@chicagocpr.org. Additionally, we know that parents can't survive without coffee so we reduced the price of this CPR class by $3.00 so you can enjoy delicious Pickle's coffee on us. Participants receive the AHA Family & Friends booklet, SIDS brochures and poison control magnets and tip sheets. Plus one lucky winner will go home with a fabulous raffle gift, valued at $30+.. Metered parking in adjacent lot or on street.
